Who we are

AI Edge Solutions (“AI Edge”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16214933, with our registered office at 14 Greenlands, Tattenhall, Chester CH3 9QY. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZC026918.

For anything relating to this policy or your personal data, contact us at incoming@theaiedge.co.uk.

The personal data we collect

We collect the following, and no more than we need:

  • Enquiry and booking details. When you submit a form or book a call, we collect your name, email address, and where you provide them, your phone number, company name and team size.
  • Correspondence. If you email us or speak to us, we keep that correspondence and any notes we make about your enquiry.
  • Client and delivery records. If you become a client, we hold the information needed to deliver and invoice the work agreed in your contract.
  • Website analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, which reports visits in aggregate. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you or identify you individually.

We do not collect special category data, we do not buy personal data from third parties, and we do not use your data to train AI models.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange a call: our legitimate interests in answering people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
  • To deliver services you have engaged us for: performance of our contract with you.
  • To send you marketing emails: your consent, or our legitimate interests where you are an existing client and the message relates to similar services. You can opt out of any marketing message at any time, and every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations: compliance with a legal obligation.
  • To understand how our website is used: our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the site, using aggregate data only.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract:

  • GoHighLevel: our customer relationship management and booking platform. Enquiry forms and call bookings are stored here.
  • Vercel: hosts this website and provides the aggregate analytics described above.
  • Google Workspace: our email and document storage.
  • Our accountants and professional advisers, and any authority we are legally required to disclose information to.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable to that provider.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become clients: up to two years from our last contact, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off.
  • Client records: for the duration of our relationship and six years afterwards, to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data, where there is no reason for us to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict how we use your data, or object to our using it;
  • ask us to transfer your data to you or another provider, where it was provided by you and we process it by consent or under a contract;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on.

To exercise any of these, email incoming@theaiedge.co.uk. We will respond within one month. Exercising these rights is free.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, multi-factor authentication on the systems that hold it, and limiting access to those who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously and will notify you and the ICO of any breach where we are required to.

Cookies

Our use of cookies is set out in our cookie policy.
