AI training from a team based in Reading.
For service businesses across Reading and the towns around it: Caversham, Earley, Woodley, Tilehurst, Theale, Wokingham, Bracknell, Henley-on-Thames, Maidenhead and Newbury.
Run from Reading
Will May and Sam Hirsch, the two co-founders, run AI Edge from Reading. When you book a call, it is one of us you speak to.
Taught in Reading
In September 2026 we ran two sessions for the Thames Valley AI Group at the Thames Valley AI Hub in Reading, Skills and Security first and then Setup, to a full room of business owners.
Working with Berkshire's business support
We work with the Berkshire Growth Hub and its Skills & Business Hub, and with the Thames Valley AI Group.
Online, so nobody leaves the office
The owner meeting and all six 45-minute sessions run online, so a team in the town centre, Wokingham or Newbury takes part from their own desks.
How the programme works.
Audit first, then training at the level each person is at, then a measured result at the end of twelve weeks.
Testimonials
Don't take our word for it, take theirs.
From clients whose teams we have trained and built for. The build work is how we know what is worth teaching your team.
See what we built“The AI Edge training session was highly engaging and informative. It provided practical insights into how AI can improve efficiency, support better decision-making, and simplify everyday tasks. The trainer explained complex concepts clearly and used relevant examples that made the session easy to follow. I left with useful knowledge and greater confidence in applying AI tools in my work.”

What your team will learn.
The Three S's, in this order, each taught at the level the assessment places a person at. Beginners are not overwhelmed and confident users are not sat through what they already do.

Skills
Getting real answers out of AI instead of generic ones.
- Prompting that works, and iterating instead of accepting the first answer
- Giving the tool enough context to be useful on your work
- Which model to reach for, and how hard to make it think
For: Anyone who has an AI tool open and is still getting answers they would not send to a client.

Security
Knowing what is safe to put in, and judging it mid-task.
- What can and cannot go into these tools, in plain English
- How to make that judgement in the middle of real work, not by reading a policy afterwards
- The settings that decide where your data goes
- How your draft AI policy works day to day
For: Everyone, before real client work goes into the tool. This is the module that matters most in an accountancy.

Setup
Building it around the work you actually do.
- Setting the tool your team has chosen up properly in the first place
- Projects set up per person, around the tasks they repeat
- Context and instruction documents, so the tool already knows the business and your standards
- Working from a real task rather than a demo
For: Anyone whose week has a repeated job in it: proposals, reports, write-ups, chasing, formatting.

What the hour is worth
Before you hire, add capacity.
An hour a day per person, priced at what an hour of your team's time costs you, and counted in the people you would otherwise hire.
On the table every year
£88,000
1,760 hours returned to the business a year, across 8 people.
The working time of 1.1 full-time people, without a new hire.
Based on an hour a day per person across 220 working days, and a seven-hour working day for a full-time person. Whether those hours are actually there in your business is what the audit answers, and we will tell you if they are not.
Who we train in Reading.
Owner-led service businesses of five to twenty people. The programme is the same in every trade; the work it is built on is not.
Accountants and bookkeepers
The first practice we trained, the work we look at first, and what goes into the policy for client financial data.
How it appliesEstate and letting agents
Listing copy, vendor updates, tenant correspondence and the chasing, with a clear line on tenant and landlord data.
How it appliesConsultancies and advisory firms
Proposals, write-ups, research and the CRM nobody updates, with confidential client material kept where it belongs.
How it appliesCoaching and training providers
Materials adapted per client, proposals, follow-ups and feedback reports, with participant data handled properly.
How it appliesAI training in Reading: your questions.
Everything else you might want to know before the call.
Yes. We are based in Reading and train owner-led service businesses across the town, Berkshire and the Thames Valley. The three-month programme runs online, so your team takes part from their own desks, and everything taught is built on your team's own work rather than a generic course.
Online. The owner meeting and all six 45-minute sessions run online, weekly in the first month and then every other week, and each person's assessment is a short phone call. Every session is recorded, with a written summary and a written review seven days later, so nobody leaves the desk for a day.
Owner-led service businesses with five to twenty staff, trading for three years or more. Accountancy practices first, then estate and letting agents, consultancies, and coaching and training providers. If yours is a different trade, the fifteen-minute call will tell you quickly whether the hours are there.
The one your business already pays for: ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. The whole team learns one platform, chosen by the owner, alongside the software you already run. If you have no AI account yet, the audit tells you which one, and one is enough.
Yes. The taster is three live one-hour sessions in one week on Google Meet: Setup on Monday, Security on Wednesday and Skills on Friday. It is for an owner, or the person they ask to find a trainer, and every seat comes off the programme fee if your company signs within 30 days.
Still deciding? The call is fifteen minutes and there is nothing to prepare.
Book the call.
Fifteen minutes on your team size, the tools you already run, and the jobs eating the most time. It is a qualification call, not a pitch.
If you are the right size and the right sort of business, the next step is the audit, and we will give you the numbers on the call. If the hours are not there, we will say so.
