One morning. Three modules, specific to what each team member needed.

Leigh Park Accountancy is an owner-led practice in Bradford on Avon. The team was already paying for an AI tool and trying it, one person at a time: different levels of confidence, no shared way of working, and no agreed rule on what client information could go in.

The work it could help with was easy to name. Fee proposals and engagement letters written from call notes for every new client. A monthly chase for payroll information. Nothing difficult, all of it repeated.

The owner wanted the whole team set up properly in one go, on real jobs, with each person taught what they actually needed rather than everyone sat through the same slides.

One morning in their office, the team round one monitor, each person with a job from their own desk. We ran three of our modules, matched to what each team member needed:

• Skills. Getting real answers instead of generic ones: how to ask, what context to give, when to push back on the first answer, and why a chat and a project are different things.
• Security, before anything real went in. Firm accounts only, model training switched off, and one test the room already understood: would you put it into QuickBooks? If not, it does not go into an AI tool either. Payroll data named as the line not to cross.
• Setup, on their own work. Each person turned one recurring job into a project with the practice's own context behind it and instructions that match their standards. Fee proposals and engagement letters were built live in the room; payroll data gathering was scoped as the next one.

They left with two copyable prompts, one that writes the practice's business-context document and one that turns any recurring job into project instructions, and an AI policy written for a small accountancy practice: approved tools, what never goes in, how output is checked, and what to do if something goes wrong.

A team that can prompt with confidence, set up a project around a job of their own, and make the safe-or-not call in the middle of real work rather than by reading a policy afterwards. By the end of the morning their projects produced a fee proposal or an engagement letter from the notes of a client call: paste the notes in, check what comes out, send.

The practice has since moved its team onto Claude and works from one shared setup rather than separate experiments. The hours-saved figure is being measured over the weeks that follow, as it is on every engagement, and will be published here when it is in.

Nothing new was bought. The practice used the accounts it already paid for, on the jobs it already did. What changed is that each person now knows how to set the tool up around their own work and what must stay out of it.

This is how the three-month programme works. The audit decides which modules each person needs, the sessions teach them on that person's own jobs, and the result is measured at the end. Here it ran as one morning; in the programme it runs as four sessions over twelve weeks, with a review week after each, so it sticks.
